Nature-Themed Wall Graphics With A Special Modular Feature

A multimedia art-curation company in MA commissioned our studio to design five floors of corridor-length nature-inspired graphics aimed at bringing joy & comfort to the patients of a Boston pediatric hospital.

In addition to receiving a contiguous wall design printed on a canvas-textured hypoallergenic substrate, each floor was to receive a specially customized modular feature allowing a pre-determined set of dimensional acrylic accents to be dismounted and swapped out with a thematically consistent roster of seasonally rotating mountable decals.

Each floor receives a corridor-long printed canvas wall covering which is dotted with 5 powder-coated stand-offs used to mount replaceable acrylic accents.

Other Scattered Accents

In addition to the five changeable seasonal accents on each floor, the curators proposed a few additional assets be designed and fabricated as permanently fixed acrylic decals that would fit between the two sets of hand rails present on every floor.

Intended to be closer to eye level for particularly young patients, these pieces were spread away from the main graphic so they could be used as navigation aids and distance indicators for patients practicing their motor skills.
